a.     Database
A database is a collection of data organized in a manner that allows access, retrieval, and use of the data.

b.    Table
A table structure defines the fields and their properties, and specifies how data should be entered.

c.     Reports
Reports present data from tables and queries in an attractive format, complete with titles, headers, footers and graphics.

d.    Field
A field is a column in a table that contains a specific piece of information within a record. It is the smallest unit of data.

e.     Template
A template which includes pre-built tables and forms that you can use to fill your own data very easily.

a.     a. In how many ways can you create a database? Name them.
There is two type to create database. Which are Following:

                               i.            Using template

                            ii.            Creating a blank database

b.    b. What will happen if we use templates in MS-Access tables?
A template which includes pre-built tables and forms that you can use to fill your own data very easily.

c.     c. What is the function of Record Selector?
Display the current record number and navigates to other records.

d.    d. What is the purpose of Object Tab?
Object tab provides access to all open database objects, such as tables, reports and forms.

e.     e. What is the use of Navigation pane?
The Navigation Pane enables you to view and manage database objects such as tables, queries, reports and forms. You can display or hide the Navigation Pane.
You can press F11 toggle key from keyboard to display or hide the navigation pane.

a.     a. What do you understand by DBMS?
Database Management system (DBMS) is a software that helps you to enter, organize, retrieve, modify, store and sort data stored in a database.

b.    b. What do you mean by RDBMS? Give an example.
RDBMS allow you to create, manage and process data in the form of multiple tables.
For example, you can make one table for Customers that will store customer contact information and another table for Orders that will store information about the orders placed.

c.     c. What is MS-Access? Name its various components.
Microsoft Access is a relational database management system (RDBMS) that allows you to create, manage and process data in the form of multiple tables.
Various components are Tables, Records and Fields, Datasheet and forms, filter and Queries, Reports.

d.    d. Write the name of all components of Access Window and define any two.
All components of Access Window are following: -
Title Bar, File Tab, Quick Access Toolbar, Ribbon, Tabs, Groups, Dialog Box Launcher, Object Tab, Navigation Pane, View buttons, Record Selector, Status Bar.
Object Tab: provides Access to all open database objects, such as tables, reports and forms.
Record Selector: Display the current record number and navigates to other records.
